Skaar the Forgotten Son of Hulk Rather than the Skaar Son of Hulk. With Skaar becoming an after thought of the Hulk Universe from the Comics to the terrible looking debut in the MCU. Even in the new comic series that takes us back to arguable the most stories in hulk history Planet hulk. Jonathan Hickman brings hulk back to Sakaar where it all took place but after reading it for this guide I kind of think that Skaar should have been the main character with his other son being one of the main plot points of the series. After reading it its just leaves me with the question where is Skaar. Well he is here in this Skaar Son of Hulk Reading order.

Reading Order Issue List Guide

Skaar: Son of Hulk #1-#12, Skaar: Son Of Hulk Presents The Savage World Of Sakaar, Hulk Family: Green Genes.
This won’t look into the second Son of Hulk but this one of his first appearances.
Skaar Son of Hulk Presents The Savage World of Sakaar
I have always enjoyed this story but never kind of enjoy how it becomes bigger than it really needed to be for the Marvel Comic Universe. I don’t think it really neeeded the silver surfer at all and should be more grounded.
This leads to one of the big elements of Skaar Story. The conclusion to one of the biggest rivials kind of Hulk VS Skaar.
War of Kings: Savage World of Skaar #1
This kind of where we split off from the Skaar: son of Hulk comics as it stops looking at Skaar stories and more the world of Sakaar after its destruction and also one of its survivors. What I won’t go into too much detail because it does spoil another characters story. However it really up to you read that story or not but it does not include Skaar.

Incredible Hulk #601
It does feel like here the shift in tone of story takes a massive shift here and it kind lays downs hints at the futurere of the Skaar character
Incredible Hulk #602
Incredible Hulk #603
Dark Reign: The List – Hulk #1
Incredible Hulk #604
Incredible Hulk #605
Hercules: Fall of an Avenger #1
Kind of a completely different story pretty difficult to see where it fits within the story and think it possible this could happen before the bigger event starts to take place.
Hercules: Fall of an Avenger #2
Dark Wolverine #86
Both Doesn’t feature Skaar but sets if the even where he one of the prime characters. It does feel slightly weird that it continues afterwards with Skaar kind of taking some role of the Hulk I think you could skip these two and still understand what happens.
Incredible Hulk #607
Fall of the Hulks: The Savage She-Hulks #1
These aren’t really Skaar stories but they’re quite big tie in to the event to his current story. In this event skaar is the third most important hulk. Looking in to the red She Hulk though expect a whole guide for her because its so interesting.
Incredible Hulk #608
Fall of the Hulks: The Savage She-Hulks #2
Incredible Hulk #609
Incredible Hulk #610
Incredible Hulk #611
Incredible Hulks #612
Incredible Hulks #613
Incredible Hulks #614
Incredible Hulks #615
Incredible Hulks #616
Incredible Hulks #617
Incredible Hulks #618
At this point Skaar is know solid side character stepping away from what looked to be this new main character in the comics. Is quickly overlooked. This has happened with multiple characters over the years another being wolverine Son. Both started out as quite interesting deep characters but are then suddenly turn into something completly different.
Incredible Hulks #619
Incredible Hulks #620
Chaos War #5
Incredible Hulks #621
Incredible Hulks #622
Incredible Hulks #623
Incredible Hulks #624
Incredible Hulks #625
What felt like a new era for Hulk and Skaar quickly changed to Skaar going off on his own going into the savage lands. What makes sense.
Skaar: King of the Savage Land #1
Skaar: King of the Savage Land #2
Skaar: King of the Savage Land #3
Skaar: King of the Savage Land #4
Skaar: King of the Savage Land #5
New Avengers #18
Skaar than does something so out character that is begging of the end any hope for Skaar. Keep him in the savage Land make him the king.
New Avengers #19
New Avengers #20
New Avengers #21
At this point for Skaar he is a background characters and does feel like kind of a let down after Skaar King of the Savage Land. Even though he does have a good sort of twist later down the line. Going from this big story With Hulk, SAkaar and the second Son. To him becoming kind of the king of the savage to this is definitely a terrible direction.
New Avengers #22
New Avengers #23
Avengers #24
Dark Avengers #175
Skaar is currently in this weird position like Jef the Land Shark. Being thrown around to different character as a sort of pet. Unlike Jeff though he isnt too popular to let go.
Dark Avengers #177
Dark Avengers #178
Dark Avengers #179
Dark Avengers #180
Dark Avengers #181
Dark Avengers #182
Dark Avengers #183
Dark Avengers #184

Dark Avengers #186
Dark Avengers #187
Dark Avengers #188
Dark Avengers #189
Dark Avengers #190
Young Avengers #12
With the Dark Avengers ending with near to no real conclusion for the Skaar character. Then brief cameo in Young Avengers what kind worried for a minute as I thought we going to get a Young Avengers run of one of the most average of characters in Comic.
Hulk #7
Skaar then turn human an kind of disappears from the comic for years.
Gamma Flight #1
Skaar randomly returns kind of villainess with a new look what looks kind of bad.
Gamma Flight #2
Gamma Flight #4
Gamma Flight #5
Skaar again disappears 6 years since his last appearance. What when you look at his story. It’s crazy how this character exploded onto the scene then drilled to just minor appearance in groups completely disappearing loses his power and then returning with his power randomly and then completely disappearing one again.
Skaar appears 4 years later in the Death Of The Silver Surfer series but only minor and doesn’t really have a big impact on the story but is surprising but alongside. We just kind of go backwards to what was Skaar was in the savages lands
Death Of The Silver Surfer # 3
Incredible Hulk #26
Incredible Hulk #29
Skaar body is shown also in this issue. Even though hasn’t been completed confirm this could mark the death of Skaar. If this is the end of the character to be killed in a background panel would be a terrible end. I do think we will see Skaar soon but when and how is a worrying. Then there the Imperial Series that very much set around Sakaar and World breaker hulk.
Imperial #1-#4
Looking at where Hulk is currently in the comics as well as Infernal Hulk. Feels like Imperial should have been a Skaar story. This whole story around his brother and his homeworld would be a better story for Skaar as hulk does have a bigger story elsewhere and doesnt just feel like a rehash of something old but instead a older wiser skaar returning something different and how this would adapt to going back to Sakaar.
