Comic Guide Essential To The Superman 2025 Movie

Comic Guide Essential To The Superman 2025 Movie

Welcome to the The Comic Book Core. The Core of all your Comic guiding needs. It is a difficult world out there as a comic book reader if you started over the last couple of years. Or maybe you had a year away and a country is gone, your favorite character is dead and your favorite hero is now the villain. We’re here to help with that the Movie that every Superman Fan wants to succeed. Even the Snyderverse people, they won’t admit it but they want the Superman 2025 movie to succeed.

No Kingdom Come, –
No, All Star Superman
And also no definitely, no Superman: Red Son

All Amazing comics in their own right and don’t worry a follow up will be made for the best comics to read after Superman 2025 movie but I have to watch the film before recommending any of them. If you’re reading this after the film though a good starting point would be these ones above for the upcoming Superman 2025 movie.

Even though they are amazing, Mark Waid, Grant Morrison and Mark Millar work in these don’t feel like they add up to the upcoming Superman film. No spoilers but I don’t want to read about Superman’s death at the beginning of a new era. So we will be recommending the a bit obscure and maybe the slightly hated. Let’s begin the Comic Guide Essential To The Superman 2025 Movie

1. Action Comics #957

One of the main reasons for suggesting this comic is mainly due to being a new beginning for Superman. Even though it was released way back in 2016. This is a good jumping on point for Superman and I think it works as a good start understanding the Superman and Lex relationship what will be a massive focus of the upcoming Superman movie.

3. Superman #001 (2018)

Something a bit more recently could also be a jumping on point but even though this is a start of a new story. It perfectly delves into Superman and Clark Kent’s relationship with Lois Lane and his children. Possibly hinting at the future of the Superman films Foreshadow Superman and son Movie. But still this is a great comic telling the relationship between Superman and Earth leading up to the Superman 2025 Movie.

2. Action Comics #1041 (2022)

Then we have the most recent in Superman comic book guide the running series in Action Comics, also maybe the most Unsuperman one as well. As really Superman isn’t in this one and is set within the middle of the Warworld Saga a completely different story and is like over halfway through in this issue. But that is not the point of this suggestion. The point is really showing you what Superman is to people. The embodiment of hope not just on Earth.

4. Guy Gardner: Warrior (1992–1996) #30

If you’re looking for a Guy Gardner read I would recommend reading more of this series. It’s not for everyone; it has that very 90s style and can go up and down on quality over time. With being a story outside of Guy Gardern being a lantern but as something else. If you’re reading this a day before the release of the movie go for Guy Gardner: Warrior (1992–1996) #30. Where Guy and Superman fight and if they don’t in the upcoming film I will be disappointed giving it a good reason to read before the film.

5. The Terrifics

The Terrifics is a perfect comic for me as it takes high inspiration from the Fantastic Four and I think Should have treated like it. However I am not getting into that now, maybe in a future underrated groups guide maybe. Not only does this show off Mr. Terrific it also has Metamorpho both being part of the Terrifics. It’s been 5 years since we saw this team. This will give you a deeper look into some of the least known characters in the upcoming movie.

6. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2003)

Even though this is very much known for its bringing together both Superman and Batman and could be a bigger part of a guide down the line. However this mini series we are here for the big bold god of evil himself Lex Luthor. I think this comic gives you an amazing look into the crazy, smart and manipulative way of Lex Luthor. It also gives you a good idea of the character Superman will be dealing within Superman 2025 Movie. Also The Superman and Lex Luthor relationship in comics that will be implemented into the Superman 2025 Movie.

7. X-Force #50

OK the weirdest suggestion in this one but it’s not due to any other comic books but more to the actor that plays the villain in the movie has played the character and is now playing Lex Luthor. Nicholas Hoult played Beast in the First class era movies of the X-Men. He is now playing what looks to be a very good Lex Luthor but like the actor not so long ago. The Beast of X-Men fame did take a very Lex Luthor turn in the comics. This is just kind of a fun one but it’s worth reading, with my theory that this comic is one of the reasons Hoult got cast as Lex Luther.

8. DC Comics Presents # 037

I didn’t know much about Hawk Girl apart from the Justice League animated series. I know she is a pretty cool character. However, through my readings of some old Superman comics I came across DC Comics Presents. A series of comics where Superman teams up with different characters and Super did team up with Hawk Girl. With them being on the big screen together. I think this is a good read to kind of get the dynamic they could possibly develop if done right.

9. Superman: Secret Identity

Even though this is technically an else-world comic. I think it is still integral to the Mythos of character of Clark Kent. If looking for a quick catch up with the character dynamic quickly.  unless you read faster than the Flash. This comic short series was written by Kurt Busiek. Is a great way to fast track your knowledge of the character of Clark. I think it should be seen as how important that is for the Superman character.

10. Superman: Year One

OK this might be one of the worst Superman Comics in this Comic Guide Essential To The Superman 2025 Movie. These are boring, they’re kind of simple in a way and just stretch out stories of kind of nothing. I hear you asking why I would recommend a bad comic series to you. Well I think many of us have high hopes for the next Superman Movie and I think this comic can ground a lot of us before watching the film.

11. The Man of Steel (2018)

I think this series does give a good insight into everything Superman prides himself on and really how he can be hurt. It’s not the best Superman story out there but a general good read and gives good kind of recap of what the character of Superman is. Also has Supergirl in it, which could help later later on.

That’s it for this one. With this article now part of The Comic Book Core, I hope it helps set the stage for your high hopes for the film and gives you a quick cheat sheet on who Superman really is in the comics… and just as importantly, who Clark Kent is. Also hopefully it also gives you a better feel for the rest of the characters we’re about to see in the upcoming Superman movie.
